Embrace Autism is creating an "Ultimate Guide of Autistic Burnout", and asked their online community for their Autistic Burnout stories. This was limited to 350 words, and I focused on what lead up to my burnout.
Since I stumbled across your posts on Substack I recently have self-diagnosed as High Functioning Autistic. I scored very high on the AQ-50, but the only reason I even took it was that I followed link you had provided and watched the "Autism From the Inside" podcast on You Tube titled "High Functioning Autism (it's NOT what you think!!)" and then binge-watched some other podcasts on the same topic.
At age 70 there doesn't seem much value in seeking a formal diagnosis, but I sure have a new-found appreciation for the high personal cost of neurodivergence.
I took early retirement at age 55 to avoid returning to a toxic work environment after my short-term illness (i.e., stress) leave ran out. I had a long history of job "burn outs" behind me.

I am so happy that my open sharing of what I'm learning is helping other people as well.
I'm glad there are sites like https://embrace-autism.com/autism-tests/ that provide links to a large set of free tests to allow us to learn about ourselves.
