Watched the "High-Functioning Autism - It's Not What You Think!" video -- Thanks for providing the link. It certainly made me wonder if I should be looking into it for myself -- I was born in the 1950's and my parents didn't even believe in allergies. I think I was in my own 50's before I actually met anyone (to my knowledge, at least) who had been diagnosed with Autism (and despite being labelled "High-Functioning" he was fortunate his parents refused to agree to have him institutionalized). Lots of food for thought here for those of us who continue to question and challenge cultural "norms". Keep it up, please!
I'm younger, born in 1968. I was lucky in that my parents noticed that I was "unusual", but I was still accepted for who I was rather than them constantly wanting to change (or "correct") me.
In case of interest, I tagged a few other articles as "elated to "Autism".

Although, as I'm still learning, my entire life from birth to death is technically "related to Autism" :-)
